These are some shots of the almond tree that I’ve been meaning to post for a while. I was planning to post some shots from my vacation, but instead I went on vacation again. Just for the weekend, but I got some more shots of the sunrise and sunset at the beach. I’m seriously considering moving there, the ocean is just too beautiful, and starting the day by watching the sunrise and listening to the waves crashing on the beach is one of the best things in the universe. Who would have thought I would end up loving being up to watch the sunrise. Hope you like these!
Hello, everyone! I’m trying to post more often, hopefully I’ll be able to keep it up. I’m still super busy, but also super happy. Last Thursday was my birthday, and it was awesome, the best one in many years. I ended my birthday week shooting a beautiful sunset, and decided I’m going to try to do that every year from now on.
These shots are from a few months ago, and this is my favorite tree in the world, the almond tree around the corner from my house. Every year it finds a way to look lovelier :). Hope you enjoy them!
She’s alive! Just barely so, but she’s alive.
It has been a long, gloomy semester. I’ve had no time to rest and no space in my head for creativity, and for all this, I’m immensely glad it’s almost over. I feel like dancing, singing and lying on the beach on a warm summer day, but most of all, I want to take a week off just to go shooting, to watch the sun rise and set by the sea, to dream of beautiful things and smile until my face hurts. I’m tired of worrying and rushing to meat deadlines and being a full time student.
I’m ready to put the last four months behind me, and start looking forward to the spring. And on that theme, I bring you some pretty wildflowers. I shot these who knows how many weeks ago, and never had the energy to edit them. There’s no sunlight in this part of the backyard except when the sun is high in the sky, so the photos were bright and boring, and I felt like doing some creative editing. I love how these turned out, and I hope you like them, too :).
Hi, everyone! I’m still here! March has been a crazy month so far, and I haven’t had time to do much photo editing. I had a final last week (went swell, since I studied for an entire month and it was one of my favorite subjects), and I’ve been dealing with heaps of paperwork to see if I can take the last few subjects to get my Masters degree. Also, I’ve got to finish one more paper and I’m officially a teacher (just adding the final touches to the conclusion). I’m really excited about all these changes and endings, even if they can be a little scary at times.
I’ve also been lazing around, making the best of the last days of my vacation. Classes start on Monday, and it’s going to be a pretty intense semester. Hopefully I’ll be able to go to the harbor again very soon, and see what I can capture there with the new camera. I’ve been having so much fun shooting everything I wanted to shoot before and couldn’t – it’s amazing the possibilities a DSLR offers to capture the world.
I’ve wanted to take photos like these ones for a while, and I was really happy when I finally figured out how to. I’m in awe of the way simple weeds can look beautiful in front of a lens. Enjoy!
