Hi there, everyone! How long has it been since I last stopped by? Time seems to fly this year. July was a month of leisure for me, I slept a lot, watched a lot of movies (fell in love with the Marx brothers), and read a few books. I didn’t take a lot of photos because I refused to keep a schedule, even nature’s. I did go shooting around the neighborhood a couple mornings, and they were so stunning that they counted for a million. The first one was misty and everything was covered in dew, the second one was sunny and everything was golden. My beloved almond tree was in bloom, so I got some lovely shots. If I manage to empty my hard drive and make enough space to download them, I’ll get around to posting them sometime (how did I end up with only 4GB of empty space?).
I’m starting my last semester next week, but don’t ask me how I feel about it because I haven’t decided if I’m elated or panicked yet. I’ll still have to work on my thesis next year, but there will be no more classes for me. I’ve no idea what I’m going to do with my life, but from what I hear that’s a pretty common state for college graduates.
These are some shots from last summer. My father and some friends were testing out an old sailboat one of them got, it held for about five minutes the first time until it was so full of water they had to drag it out, but the second time (after they fixed it) it sailed beautifully, and I got a laugh and some lovely shots. There will be more to come soon.
Life is good and crazy over here, and I wish you all as much happiness as I have :).

An external hard drive is your friend. 😉

It will be, as soon as I’m not a broke student anymore. It’s on my list right after a macro lens, a normal lens, and a bunch of filters :).

Really nice series of shots… good luck in your job search and sorry to say space is always going to be a struggle especially with the increasing size of digital files. I use a ‘Drobo’ as it can expand as i add more drives. Heres a link… http://www.drobo.com/

As always, your sunset photos are amazingly beautiful. They make me miss the ocean badly. Not sure if I will ever get used to living the desert life…

Thanks, Emily. You never know where life will take you, but I hope I never have to live away from the ocean, I think it would break my heart.
